Couple Hides $1,000 Inside Baby Formula And Diapers At Target Stores
A couple in Southern California placed cash in baby products at Target stores in an effort to help new parents who might be struggling.
Krystal Duhaney and her husband Patrick know what it’s like to be first-time parents.
“When we had our first child, we struggled to make ends meet, just like most new parents,” Krystal told KABC.
Hoping to inspire others to spread kindness, Krystal posted a video of their adventure to Instagram.
“We really wanted to make things a little easier. Hopefully brighten their day and hopefully inspire others to kind of, you know, spread joy and kindness,” Krystal said.
In total, Krystal said she left about $1,000 in cash at the various Target stores.
“As parents raising two young children, it’s really important for us to let our children know kindness matters and that you never know what somebody’s going through,” she said.
The video has more than 93,000 likes and has inspired many Instagram users to follow suit.
“This is absolutely incredible! It gives me tears to think of a potential parent in need opening this. You’ve inspired me to do the same! God bless you!” one person commented.
“Thanks for doing this and posting about it,” another wrote. “My wife and I will definitely do this, we are surrounded by a lot of underprivileged areas that this type of gesture can really make an impact.”
